In July we’ve been rather mad. Zobe finished work finally, the DB doof system was cranked, the Isotopia festival tested our doofing endurance (why is Zoe in the bush all preggars?), and we camped with barely legal politically incorrect explosives to name just a few shenanigans.

Well we have officially hit the dry season in Darwin and with the dragonflies and mad tropical weather we also get lots of friends to play with! We didn’t expect it to get so nice so quickly and in April and May we have only a few storms or showers. So it was time to have a D&M with Mrs Harshess (our Hilux) and get her back into the bush for further mad times.

While Zobe and Bean were in Brissy, Al was being well looked after by Harsh and Rogi. But there has been more action than attacking the jungle that our garden becomes in the wet, we had our good mate Sparky visit. Sparky is one of the best hippies you’d ever meet and we had the mad situation whereby we hosted her at Motel Wagaman.

So what do you do with a Sparky Monster in Darwin? We took her to the bush of course…

So a few weeks a go Bec came and visited us from Melbourne and we had the near cyclone that moved away to WA, lucky for us, sad for some people in WA !

What it did bring here though is a lot of rain ! You might of heard Darwin was blocked off with Adelaide River (an hour down away down the main highway, Stuart Hwy) flooded out.

Lightning and thunder was crazy, we had lightning closer than I’ve ever had, I think it hit our house and I crapped myself actually ! Fried our geek modem and phone line situations. Very exciting for Harsh and Rog.

Far out mate, I just went down to Lee Point and have never seen so many stingers!

Usually don’t let the bother me or the dogs but this time had to keep the canines away, so many of the ferals.

Guess what, you wouldn’t believe this, but we just had a rather mad weekend. Finally yesterday we took the new dB doof system down to Lee Point and cranked it up. We have a humble little PA system and genny now and really want to crank as many little local community partay’s as possible !

The system can be setup or packed down in under half an hour (even by Al). Which is handy as for example a storm kicked us out of Lee Point last night!
